T4 on the beach

The show has come and gone. While it was good to be there, it was a shame I couldn't get closer to the stage.
Also, I missed The Script, who I wanted to see.

The drive there was not too bad, about 3 hours until we got into Weston-Super-Mare and the traffic was bumper to bumper to get into the Park & Ride car park. The 1 hour traffic and the queuing for the bus meant we missed the opening two sets on the main T4 stage including performances from The Hoosiers and Robyn.

Unfortunately the weather was not ideal, temperature was around 18 degrees. It just didn't feel very hot and was a bit chilly after 4 o'clock.

As usual with these events the food & drinks in the compound were extortionate.

Despite the negatives, I enjoyed myself enough with seeing some of my favourite bands. Standouts of the show for me were Dirty Pretty Things, The Ting Tings, Scouting For Girls, One Night Only, and Kelly Rowland. Not to mention I got to see Alexa Chung.

Getting back to the car was interesting. With everyone practically leaving at the same time (45,000 tickets were sold), the queues for the bus were huge. In the end we decided to take the 1 hour walk back to the car, following the hordes of people who decided to do the same thing. When we got back to the car park more than half the cars (thousands) were still there! The buses were still doing their rounds.

The final roster of acts have been revealed. Of them I'm excited to see Dirty Pretty Things, One Night Only, and The Zutons. Full list below.

The next set of artists have been added to the roster, they include Duffy, The Ting Tings, Feeder, Guillemots, and Alphabeat. The full list below. Of the five, Duffy and The Tings Tings are very welcome additions.

I have never been to a beach concert so I am very excited about the T4 concert at Weston-super-Mare in July. This is the 6th year T4 are hosting this beach party and if the line-up is anything like 2007, then I will be in for a treat.

So far 9 acts have been confirmed, of which I am looking forward to seeing Scouting for Girls, The Hoosiers, Black Sparro, and the Pidgeon Detectives.
